Premises
The Italian Cultural Institute in Vancouver is located inside the prestigious "Standard Building", a landmark building established in 1913.
Altogether, the premises of the Institute extend over almost 4,400 square feet, with the lion's share being taken by the Hall where lectures, exhibits and video screenings are hosted.
The library of the Institute has a catalogue of over 3,500 titles, the vast majority of which is in Italian. The books are divided in over 10 categories, among which a section for language and linguistics and an extensive section of reference books. There also several magazines and weekly newspapers.
The books and magazines can be consulted on the premises of the Institute by anybody, free of charge.
The Hall, where up to 120 people can be seated, is also equipped with technical facilities (please visit our "Floor plan and A/V equipment" page).
