Your interest, participation and support is vital to the Institute’s work. Please consider becoming a "Friend of the Istituto." If you haven’t yet done so, please call our Information Officer at

To become a member all you have to do is to fill out our membership form and, for a small annual fee of $50, you can join us in our continuing quest to bring to the Toronto area the very best that Italy has to offer.

As a Friend, your reward will be the pleasure of participating as a cherished guest at a variety of Istituto events, such as the ones detailed in our monthly program. And, as an added benefit, throughout the year you'll have the opportunity to get complimentary and reduced-price tickets for events with Italian content offered at other venues around town. To receive full benefits, become a Friend of the Istituto!
The Italian Cultural Institute welcomes members, known as Friends of the Institute. For only $50 per household per Calendar Year, Friends receive the following benefits:

• Priority mailing of the Istituto’s monthly calendar in its paper edition. At their option, Friends may receive copies of the calendar by regular (first class) mail or e-mail.
• Invitations to restricted opening receptions for Istituto exhibits.
• Invitations to Friends-only events at the Istituto, the Italian Consulate and other local venues.
• Discounted admission to Italy-oriented cultural events presented by other organizations in cooperation with the Istituto.
• Priority reservations and seating for Istituto events.
• Free use of the Istituto’s library of books and magazines, in English and Italian.
• Free rental of videos, for personal use, from the Istituto’s video library.
