International Book Fair in Torino

These authors will read new texts written especially for the occasion and inspired by this year's theme of 'Natural versus Artificial'. This rare US performance by La Scala String Quartet from Milan’s world-renowned La Scala Theater will feature the music of Mendelssohn, Ravel and Stanford composer Giancarlo Aquilanti. The concert is presented by Friends of FAI under the auspices of the Consul General of Italy together with Stanford University Department of French & Italian, Stanford University Department of Music, and the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco. Members of the Istituto will enjoy a 40% discount on tickets, which are: $35 general admission ($100 w/private reception to meet the musicians); $20 Stanford affiliates, Italian Cultural Institute Members, Groups of 10 or more; $5 Stanford Students with student ID.
