Scholarships from the Institute

General Information

The scholarships consist of free or discounted tuition at schools, academies, or centers where Italian is taught to foreigners in Italy.
Applicants must be residents of Southern California, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas or Texas .
The students should visit the websites of the schools to obtain all the information on the courses and services offered.

Travel Expenses and Room and Board

Travel expenses and room and board are completely borne by the winner of the scholarship, who will be assisted in the search for an accommodation by the school offering the scholarship.

Communication with the Italian Schools

All communication and relations will be handled exclusively between the winner of the scholarship and the center that offered it without the IIC as intermediary.

How and When to Apply

The students of Italian Language and Culture at the IIC of Los Angeles may apply by filling out this form and submitting it at least 60 days before the beginning of the course they would like to attend in Italy. The application should be sent to Michela Magri' at the following address:

Criteria

Scholarships are assigned primarily to teachers of Italian and students concentrating on Italian language and culture, but, if available, also to those interested in the study of Italian for their professions or for the preservation of the Italian heritage.


Please Note:

The IIC declines any responsibility regarding the quality of the courses or services offered by the centers in Italy. The IIC asks the students to write a brief report on the experience in Italy, evaluating all teaching and organizational aspects of the centers.
