Prosecco di Veneto
La Serenissima: The Ancient republic of Venice was the world's most powerful seafaring and merchant state between 1678 & 1741 and its wealth and heritage is clearly visible today. The old Venetians had a massive impact on the wine world, importing & exporting numerous varietals across the known world and advancing viticulture with its massive investments and consumption. To some extent, most of the wines in Veneto and Friuli today owe partly to the old Republic of Venice.
Join us in an eclectic and unique seminar that will examine the various wines affected by the Serenissima Repubblica and its legacy today.
Schedule: March 5, Monday; 6 - 8:30PM
